I like this poker and it has excellent grain all around the bowl. After the sanding it was so clean that I left it as a virgin and gave it a Carnuaba polish, but the grain was fairly flat, so I decided to apply light Oak stain to lift it and the result was amazing.
The pipe is fitted with black Ebonite stem with Forest Green Acrylic band, overall effect is very pleasing indeed.
The bowl was coated with my Pumice/Charcoal formula for extra protection and ease of break-in...
